ABOUT ME
I am a recently retired professional triathlete, racing around the world for Great Britain and Scotland. I race Olympic and Sprint ITU style races as well as 70.3 and competed in three commonwealth games - 2014, 2018, 2022. Finished 4th at WTS Edmonton 2016, World University Champion and European Championship medalist, along with multiple World Cup medals.
I have been coached by world class coaches and picked up a lot of information along the way. I have experienced the almighty highs and the dreaded lows that come with competing in Sport and have always found a way to learn and move forward.
I have coached alongside my racing and now a full time coach.
I have helped 100s of athletes achieve their goals in endurance sport. From first time sprint distance, to ironman, to the point end of the field as well as single discipline athletes including ultra runners.
I believe that success is not only performing your best on the race course but doing so in a way you can develop your skills for a more fulfilling and successful life too!
What CAN I do for you?
I listen to you, come up with achievable goals and put together a bespoke program to fit around your current commitments. After an initial consultation period, I provide a weekly program through training peaks . And we can contact and adapt program through phone, text, as much or as little as you want - communication is key! Each session is reviewed and feedback given.
I work with Power, Heart Rate, lactate and V02. Whilst they are useful, they are by no means essential. We need to get you to learn what training feels like. This can take time for some and measured data is a great way of establishing this before achieving the balance of data and feel.
I am not into the lets catch up once a month and review. I believe that coaching is done best when there is communication often. That way, we both know whats happening and can easily change direction. It also lets us get to know each other and find out what makes you tick. I always believe in a person first approach.
